Frequently asked questions
+What does the Corporate Bullshit Test measure?
It measures your Corporate Bullshit Receptivity (CBSR) — how impressed you are by statements that sound business-savvy but are actually meaningless strings of jargon. A high score means buzzword-heavy sentences read to you as signs of competence; a low score means they read as noise.
+Is this a knowledge test? Are there right answers?
No. None of the statements are correct or incorrect — they're all syntactically fluent but semantically empty. You're not being tested on vocabulary. You're rating how much 'business savvy' the speaker appears to have, on a 1–5 scale.
+Is a high score bad?
Research correlates higher receptivity with lower analytical ability and lower-quality real-world decision making — though, paradoxically, also with somewhat higher job satisfaction. There's no official clinical cutoff; the bands on this page are our own, for entertainment.
+Is this the real published scale?
No. This is an unofficial adaptation of the Corporate Bullshit Receptivity Scale from Littrell (2026), recreated for entertainment. It is not the validated research instrument and the score should not be read as a diagnosis.
